Shoe labeling
All materials used for shoe uppers, outsoles and linings must be labeled in accordance with the European Directive.
sickle foot
The deformity typical of a sickle foot is caused by the metatarsus and toes curving inwards to a greater extent - the so-called adduction position. The heel remains unchanged or bends inwards.
small toe bunion deformation
The small toe bunion deformation is a deformity on the outside of the foot. The deformity is common in splayfoot and flatfoot.
Smooth leather
Smooth leather is the name given to the animal skin processed on the grain side (= outer skin side). This uppermost layer of skin, also known as the grain side, is tear-resistant and durable.
Soft footbed
Ströber soft footbeds adapt to the individual pressure load of your foot. Stressed areas are padded and the impact is cushioned. They offer the best wearing comfort and pleasant relief.

splay-foot
In a splay-foot, the inner edge of the foot is lowered and the outer edge is raised. The heel deviates outwards and the inner ankle protrudes strongly. Avoid soles that are too soft. Support the lateral transverse arch.
splayfootpad
To support or relieve the transverse arch. For splayfoot complaints, a pad (spherical, padded elevation) in the shoe noticeably relieves pain. It ensures active foot rolling and optimum forefoot relief.
Sport-Nappa leather
Soft calfskin of a higher weight class (thickness approx. 1.5 mm) is provided with a grainy grain by means of an embossing plate. It is often used for sporty men's shoes.
Supination
(Anatomical term for movement) Affects the extremities of the hand and foot: rotation in the longitudinal axis, the outer side is lowered and the inner side is raised.
Sweaty feet
Like the palms of the hands, the soles of the feet are equipped with countless sweat glands. Sweaty feet are defined by excessive perspiration in the foot area. The corneal layers under the feet are constantly moist and unpleasant odors can develop.
