Padding

Padding prevents pressure points on the foot. Padding in the tongue and ankle area ensures a comfortable, pressure-free hold. STRÖBER offers numerous models with padded zones.

Patent leather is very shiny, usually very smooth, grain-free leather. In the past, the glossy effect was achieved by applying a special lacquer to the leather.Today, the leather is coated with a thin, shiny plastic film to achieve the desired look.

plantar

(Anatomical directional designation) Describes movements of the foot in the direction of the sole of the foot. Analogous to the hand, this direction is called "palmar", the opposite direction would be "dorsal".

PU

PU = polyurethane. Common plastic sole material. Polyurethane has very good soft-elastic cushioning properties, is hard-wearing and abrasion-resistant.

PU-light

Sole material. Particularly lightweight, thermoplastic polyurethane is flexible, resilient, has a high flexural fatigue strength and is very weather-resistant.

Punching

During punching, shapes are punched out of the leather using punching irons and high pressure. Meticulous care is taken to ensure that the leather parts are as intact, uniform in structure and grain and as beautiful as possible to create a pair of shoes.
