From the very beginning of the design process, STRÖBER places great emphasis on top-quality craftsmanship and excellent material properties. The impeccable quality and origin of the leather are always at the forefront.

All accessories, including stretch and sole materials, come from certified manufacturers with whom STRÖBER has often maintained long-term partnerships spanning decades.

Lining

When selecting linings, STRÖBER ensures authenticity and skin-friendliness. Unless otherwise stated, every STRÖBER shoe is lined with natural leather.

Footbeds

The footbeds are made from high-quality, natural cork sourced from Portugal, free from harmful substances and plasticizers. Depending on the model, they are available with various covers such as leather, microfiber, lambskin, felt, or wool. All materials are breathable and ergonomically designed. For added comfort, some footbeds are combined with special memory foam or latex.

Width Adjustment

To achieve the perfect fit, STRÖBER offers width adjustment inserts made from natural cork. Look for the “Width Adjustment” note on the respective models.

Soles

Soles must be robust, lightweight, and cushioning. They should allow for anatomically correct foot movement while providing stability and secure footing. STRÖBER uses soles made from PUR, EVA, TPU, and TPS to achieve these properties.

Production and Processing

STRÖBER produces high-quality shoes with expert craftsmanship exclusively in the EU. Leather is a durable natural product that, after tanning, is treated with dyes and fats to achieve the desired softness, flexibility, and color. Slight color variations are not defects but rather a sign of the leather's natural origin. In the final production step, the leather surface is refined with pigmented colors and treated with dirt-repellent impregnations to provide the necessary protection.
